At the 36th meeting, on 8?November 2023, the Chair of the Committee announced that the Bureau had been informed that the delegation of Germany, on behalf of the sponsors, had requested that the Committee defer a decision on the request for observer status for the International Organization of Employers in the General Assembly until the seventy-ninth session of the Assembly.
