The Department of Public Information (DPI) welcomed Ms. Winnie Byanyima and members of Oxfam International to discuss her role as Chair of the 67th UN DPI/NGO Conference. Ms. Byanyima expressed her excitement about the upcoming conference and her involvement in the planning process. She emphasized the importance of defending multilateralism while also being critical of a global system that does not work for everyone. Ms. Byanyima is committed to ensuring that all stakeholders are represented and engaged throughout the conference. DPI and the 51³Ô¹Ï NGO community are thrilled to have Ms. Byanyima's leadership in making the conference actionable, accessible and impactful for all participants, and look forward to welcoming her back in August 2018!
