The visit had resulted in the identification of a number of key areas in which Kenya would benefit from technical assistance aimed at enhancing its counter-terrorism machinery and operational capacities.</span></span></span></span></span></span></p> <p style="margin-bottom:11px"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="line-height:107%"><span style="font-family:Calibri,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:12.0pt"><span style="line-height:107%"><span style="font-family:Roboto">Mr. Laborde reaffirmed the readiness of CTED to be an active facilitator of technical assistance and stressed that Kenya was a close partner of the UN in fighting terrorism and countering violent extremism.
