In preparation for the meeting, an on-line
discussion on "information and communication technologies and their
impact on and use as an instrument for the advancement and empowerment
of women" was held from 17 June to 19 July 2002. The results of the
on-line discussion will be presented to the Expert Group Meeting which
will be held in the Republic of Korea on 11 - 14 November 2002.
