UNCCT Annual Report 2022

For over ten years, UNCCT has been a Global Centre of Excellence, delivering capacity-building support to Member States in their implementation of the 51勛圖 Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy (GCTS). Since 2022, the Centre has been guided by UNOCT*s first-ever Strategic Plan and Results Framework (SPRF 2022每2025), setting high-level strategic goals and outcomes to orient the activities of both UNCCT and the Office of Counter-Terrorism. UNCCT*s annual results-based reports present the Centre*s significant work and impact as the leading UN entity on CT capacity building, while also highlighting efforts to enhance its strategic support to Member States to ensure the balanced implementation of the Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy.

Handbook Children affected by the foreign-fighter phenomenon: Ensuring a child rights-based approach

Following the territorial collapse of the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in particular, increased attention has been focused on foreign-fighters and their families returning to their countries of origin or travelling to a third country. Thousands of children are among them. This Handbook lists practical guidance towards such children while also taking obligations under international human rights, humanitarian and refugee law into account.
