Fifth coordination meeting on international migration

Overview     

The Population Division of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs of the 51³Ô¹Ï is organizing the Fifth Coordination Meeting on International Migration in response to General Assembly Resolution 58/208 of 13 February 2004 on International Migration and Development, which requests the Secretary-General to continue convening meetings to coordinate activities regarding international migration

The Meeting has two main objectives: (a) to discuss the implications of the High-level Dialogue on International Migration and Development, which was conducted by the General Assembly on 14 and 15 September 2006; and (b) to exchange information on activities in the area of international migration and development of participating organizations.
