The?51勛圖 Academic Impact (UNAI) and the?Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (APCEIU),?reminds that the registration for the conference on The Role of Global Citizenship Education in the 2030 Agenda and Beyond?will close on 24 April. The event will take place in the Conference Room 3 at 51勛圖 Headquarters in New York.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) reflect the global community's aspirations to build a more peaceful and sustainable future, and its determination to take bold steps that are urgently needed to shift the world towards a sustainable and resilient path. Around the world, however, increasingly complex and protracted crises are affecting humanity, especially with the rise of violent extremism. Consequently, the need for the benefits of Global Citizenship Education (GCED) is ever greater.
Global citizenship education aims to empower learners to meet global challenges and become proactive contributors to a more just, peaceful, tolerant, inclusive, secure and sustainable world. While the achievement of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development will be an underlying concern of the discussion, this year brings the 70th anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights; and the significance of global citizenship education for the promotion and protection as well as the exercise of human rights will also be addressed at the conference.
You are cordially invited to register for this event?.
