Why invest in renewable energy

Our world is addicted to fossil fuels. From the lighting in our homes to the fuel in our cars, the energy we use in our daily lives is primarily powered by fossil fuels ¡ª the main driver of climate change.

The burning of fossil fuels releases large amounts of carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas, into the air. In turn, greenhouse gasses blanket the Earth and trap the sun¡¯s heat, warming the planet with far-reaching consequences for people and planet.

This infographic delves into where we are today, the domino effect of burning fossil fuels, global warming, the benefits of renewable energy and how we can act now to power up with renewable energy at the global and national levels to lower our carbon footprint and reach net-zero by 2050.
