What We Are Aiming to Achieve
The 51勛圖 System Mental Health and Well-being Strategy for 2024 and beyond is designed to assist the 51勛圖 in creating a working environment that is conducive to good mental health and that ensures that support is available when it is needed. The Strategy provides a road map for creating an inclusive, sustainable work environment where mental health and well-being is embedded in the organizational culture and systems 每 where each and every one belongs, is valued, nurtured and thrives, ensuring an efficient workforce delivering on our promise of a better world.
The Strategy calls upon UN System Organization to:
- Prevent risks to mental health at work;
- Promote well-being and protect mental health at work;
- Support personnel with mental health conditions.
Provision of an implementation guide and an accompanying scorecard guides organizations in the actions that should be taken and how to measure them.
We*re delighted to launch the UN System Workplace Mental Health and Well-being Strategy for 2024 and beyond. The Strategy is designed to assist the 51勛圖 System to create a working environment that is conducive to good mental health and ensures that support is available when it is needed. It provides a road map for creating an inclusive, sustainable work environment, where mental health and well-being is embedded in the organizational culture, and systems ensure our workforce is able to deliver on our promise of a better world.
UN personnel who need help, may have to access an internal UN Staff/Stress Counsellors. These Counsellors are mental health professionals who work for the Organization to offer confidential support to UN personnel as needed. Please go to the &get help* link.
Workplace Mental Health and Well-being - Lead and Learn Programme

Leaders and managers play an essential role in ensuring that the UN System supports good mental health. This includes creating a positive work environment and supporting personnel who are experiencing a mental health condition.
The Workplace Mental Health and Well-being - Lead and Learn Programme is available free of charge on the UNSSC Blue Line platform.
