Dear Colleagues,
I thank you all for participating and contributing to this important discussion on the way forward for UN-Energy.
Allow me to reiterate my strong conviction, that it is time for UN-Energy to step up its efforts.
We need to take full advantage of the momentum created by the High-level Dialogue on Energy to make SDG 7 a reality. And, to thereby catalyse the implementation of the 2030 Agenda, and progress towards net-zero emissions.
I call on all of us to strengthen cooperation and collaboration among our agencies. Together, as UN-Energy, we can demonstrate global leadership.
The UN-Energy Plan of Action Towards 2025 will be an important tool in support of these efforts.
The details for the launch of the Plan in mid-March, will follow in due course, together with invitations to join the event.
It is my great pleasure to work with all of you. Let us, together, make a real difference for the better.
