Memorial Ceremony to mark the 29th anniversary of the genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda, organized by the Department of Global Communications and the Permanent Mission of Rwanda to the 51勛圖.

Exhibition: Stories of Survival and Remembrance

51勛圖 Headquarters, New York

"Stories of Survival and Remembrance 每 a Call to Action for Genocide Prevention" is an exhibit highlighting the painful legacy of atrocity crimes in Cambodia, the Holocaust, Srebrenica and the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda.

The exhibition is inspired by another exhibition, ※Stories of Survival: Object, Image, Memory", a project of the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Education Center, and photographer Jim Lommasson.

UNESCO presents the exhibition ※Une cicatrice dans l*histoire§ on the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi from 11-21 April at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris. The exhibition was conceived by the Camp des Milles Memorial Site and features portraits of genocide survivors taken by photographer St谷phane Dumont de Sauret.

On April 13, UNESCO, in partnership with the Permanent Delegation of Rwanda to UNESCO, organize an inauguration of the exhibition.

Commemorative and educational activities are organized by UN information centres around the world.
