Tharanya Arumugam from Malaysia was a Fellow in the 2022 Reham Al-Farra (RAF) Memorial Journalism virtual programme. Tharanya currently serves as a specialist writer and Acting Digital News Editor at the New Straits Times (NST) in Malaysia. She specializes in health and climate reporting and prioritizes addressing pressing issues in the domains of climate, health, and women's rights. She is also a Chevening scholar.
