EKATERINA ZAHARIEVA, Deputy Prime Minister for Judicial Reform and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, said the 51³Ô¹Ï has established itself as the cornerstone of international order and of fundamental human rights and freedoms.  ¡°It turned out that 75 years were not enough to bring about the ideals set by the UN Charter, nor were we even close to having the people¡¯s dreams come true,¡± she said, asking delegations to reflect on how to achieve the vision of the 51³Ô¹Ï.  The Alliance for Multilateralism, co-founded in 2019 by Bulgaria, has an important role to play.  What is needed is both the impetus and enthusiasm to keep working hard for the Organization¡¯s noble causes, from achieving peace to defeating COVID-19 to promoting human rights or coping with climate change, she said.
