Description
The project aims to strenghten the capacity of key constituents in eveloping countries to access operationalize and benefit from STI for the SDGs.The projects will utilised the natural synergies across the different components of the Technology Facilitation Mechanism (TFM) that was launched as part of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The TFM includes three major components: an Inter-Agency Task Team (IATT) of over 30 UN-system agencies; an annula multi-stakholder Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Forum; and an online platform that is expected to serve as a gateway for information on existing science, technoloty and innovation initiatives, mechanisms and programs, within and beyond the 51勛圖.

Synopsis

The project aimed to mobilize science, technology and innovation (STI) in developing countries by sharing experiences, knowledge and strengthening their capacity to access, operationalize and benefit from on-line mechanisms and databases on STI for the achievement of the SDGs.

The project contributed to linking communities of developing countries to existing or emerging national technology mechanisms, funds, and capacity building programmes, as well as improving STI capacities of stakeholders in developing countries to use and contribute to the online platform, sharing information, knowledge and experience in key strategic STI for the achievement of SDGs.
