Development Cooperation Forum, Republic of Korea High-level Symposium
The Symposium in Incheon will examine the role of development cooperation in implementing the post-2015 development agenda, at all levels, global, regional, national, subnational.
Organized by UNDESA and the Republic of Korea, the Symposium is the first high-level preparatory event for the 2016 Development Cooperation Forum. It aims specifically to contribute to the preparations for a post-2015 development agenda, including in the run-up to the Third International Conference on Financing for Development in Addis Ababa on 13-16 July 2015.
Workshop: The Role of Catalytic Aid
As the international community prepares for the Third International Conference on Financing for Development in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in July 2015, there is increasing attention on ODA’s potential to ‘crowd in’ other financial flows and to leverage private financing. The workshop organised by the Financing for Development Office aims to bring greater clarity on the concept of catalytic aid and on concrete instruments considered in this context, and will consider how such instruments should be accounted for in development finance statistics beyond 2015.
