Together, we must provide those furthest behind with a chance to be first in line for development and prosperity. From LDC5, we will immediately move to the preparatory processes for the Third Landlocked and Fourth Small Islands conferences. These two conferences will take place in 2024. We must leverage these important moments to bring about new solutions to the distinct challenges facing these two groups of countries.
I thank all our partners for the unprecedented support that UN-OHRLLS has received since the start of my time in office. I look forward to building on these firm foundations. Over the next 12 months we will work even harder to deliver real change to the lives and livelihoods of the one billion people in the LDCs, LLDCs and SIDS.
