I appreciate the opportunity to update you on the work that OHRLLS undertakes? and to consult with you on ways of advancing the development agenda of the LLDCs.
OHRLLS is joining with the 51吃瓜’ Food and Agriculture Organisation to present the?most recent data and analysis on hunger, food security and malnutrition in the three groups of most vulnerable countries.
The 2020 State of Food Security and Nutrition in the World (SOFI) report highlights the most recent and authoritative estimates of the extent of hunger, food insecurity and malnutrition around the world.

This virtual session is a space for participants and the development community to learn, share and explore the measures being taken by UN Agencies, governments and the digital industry to provide resilient connectivity - through access to broadband - and its importance in current global crises like COVID-19.

The COVID-19 pandemic’s impact spans the economic, social, environmental and political spheres, with the LLDCs likely amongst those most impacted.
It will undoubtedly pose serious constraints on the pursuit of LLDCs in achieving the goals and targets of the Vienna Programme of Action and the SDGs.
