Caribbean Regional Support

From capacity building, policy advice, boosting competitiveness, partnerships and strengthening business opportunities, the following regional organisations provide private sector support in the Caribbean region.

 

The (CEDA) works towards enhancing the competitiveness and value of Caribbean brands through the delivery of transformative and targeted interventions in export development and investment promotion.


The promotes and develops economic and cultural exchange between the leading Eastern Caribbean States and the Southeast Asian region.


The  (CAIPA)works towards enhancing the competitiveness and value of Caribbean brands through the delivery of transformative and targeted interventions in export development and investment promotion.


The  (CCfC) is a special project of The University of the West Indies, Office of Planning and Development focusing on academic research and training programs on competitiveness in the Caribbean, macro policy design and guidance and facilitating closer linkages between academia and the private and public sectors.

The  (CACCI)is a state-wide membership organization with expertise in providing business assistance to small and start-up business owners in areas of: business planning, financing, procurement, certification, expansion, and export/import opportunities.


 is a private sector development program that provides technical assistance grants and investment funding to support productive development policies, business climate reforms, clustering initiatives and Small and Medium Size Enterprise (SME) development activities in the Caribbean region.


 (CDB) is a regional financial institution with the purpose of contributing to the harmonious economic growth and development of the member countries in the Caribbean and promoting economic cooperation and integration among them, having special and urgent regard to the needs of the less developed members of the region.


promotes and pushes investment opportunities in the Caribbean region and offers: concierge services for high end investors seeking to make connections with key opportunities, governments and other parties in the region; ICN loan connections; political consultancy; China trade missions and marketing; and branding/promotion.


The  (CARDI) provides for the research and development needs of the agriculture of the region as identified in national plans and policies, as well as providing research and development services to the agricultural sector of its 12 CARICOM member countries.


The  is a Technical Institute of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and provides technical and advisory services to Member States in all areas of environmental management; Waste Management, Water Resource Management, Chemical Safety, Sustainable Production, Renewable Energy, Environmental and Social Impact Assessments, and more.


The is an inter-governmental organization whose mission is to “promote and facilitate the responsible utilization of the region's fisheries and other aquatic resources for the economic and social benefits of the current and future population of the region”.


The objective of the (CCIC) is to establish regional institutional capacity to support, mentor, train and fund Caribbean Entrepreneurs and new ventures involved in developing locally-appropriate solutions to climate change mitigation and adaptation.


The  is one of eight IMF Regional Technical Assistance Centers (RTACs) created to provide technical assistance and training in core areas of economic and financial management at the request of its participating countries.


The  is a regional intergovernmental organisation that aims to facilitate and enhance the development and sustainability of a leadership and governance framework within the Public Sector of the Caribbean Community effectively encouraging social partnerships in the process.

It is also intended as a resource for Central Banks and other financial supervisory authorities.


The is an inter-governmental agency of the Caribbean Community, aiming to enhance global competitiveness of the Caribbean by upgrading and diversifying the skills and knowledge of human resources in the region through greater regional collaboration and connectivity.


 is a high capacity broadband research and education network implemented by the Caribbean Knowledge and Learning Network (CKLN) on April 26, 2012. This network connects all CARICOM countries and is connected to the world’s research and education community, through AMPATH to North America, through Géant to Europe and RedCLARA to Latin America.


 is an association of electric utilities, suppliers, manufactures and other stakeholders operating in the electricity industry in the Caribbean. It strives to enhance communication among its members and to serve as the focal point for general and technical information.


is the region's tourism development agency, with 30 Dutch, English, French and Spanish country members and a myriad of private sector allied members. The CTO's vision is to position the Caribbean as the most desirable, year round, warm weather destination. Its purpose is Leading Sustainable Tourism – One Sea, One Voice, One Caribbean.


The is a regional inter-governmental agency for disaster management in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). Its primary responsibility is the coordination of emergency response and relief efforts to Participating States that require such assistance.


is the regional centre for promoting efficiency and competitive production in goods and services, through the process of standardization and the verification of quality; it aims to support international competitiveness for the enhancement of social and economic development of the region.


The is responsible for developing and maintaining a cohesive and effective framework for the coordination and management of CARICOM's external trade negotiation resources and expertise.
