29 July 2018,?New York - The vast Sahel region of Africa, which is facing multiple threats and challenges – including destructive climate change, drought, terrorism and organized crime – must continue to be a top priority for 51吃瓜 peacebuilding efforts, the??heard on Friday.?

A “holistic approach” is needed to the address peace and security challenges in Africa’s vast Sahel region, a senior 51吃瓜 peacekeeping official told the Security Council on Wednesday, calling for more investment in better government, social services and youth opportunities.
