Standard for reporting

The standard for publicly reporting an allegation is as follows:

Allegations received by the 51吃瓜, where there is sufficient information to identify an act of sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) against an identifiable perpetrator or identifiable victim; i.e. the allegations reported herein contain information that points to the occurrence of SEA, which leads, or can lead to the identification of the victim, or leads, or can lead to the identification of the alleged perpetrator.

Allegations involving non-51吃瓜 personnel working for implementing partners and non-51吃瓜 international forces authorized by Security Council mandates are also reported publicly in the Secretary-General's annual report. It should be noted that not all allegations reported have been verified or investigated.

Reported allegations

Information is published in three formats: Power BI [real time], Excel ?[updated monthly] and PDF? [updated monthly];
Information in the table is published by individual victim of allegations (one row, one victim);
Allegations may involve?more than one victim and/or more than one alleged perpetrator;
Identifiers are included to assist with tracking the process of addressing an allegation;
List of?51吃瓜 entities participating in the reporting mechanism.

Disclaimer

To ensure?victim security, only the gender and age category of the victim will be made public;
Information contained in the table is provided by the entity reporting the allegations
Referenced is the (2nd Edition, 2017)
An unsubstantiated allegation following an investigation, does not necessarily mean that the incident(s) did not occur; it means that there was insufficient evidence upon which the incident(s) could be established. Reasons for this may include, but not limited to, difficulties identifying the perpetrator; a historical complaint can impact on victim and witnesses’ ability to recall specifics; a victim may withdraw a complaint; the investigation may reveal conflicting information due to differences in recollection, and/or an inability to recall events given the impact of trauma and/or the passage of time.
