Synopsis:
The ABC comedy series?Ugly Betty?revolves around the female protagonist Betty Suarez who, despite her lack of style, lands a job at a prestigious fashion magazine. For its season premiere episode in 2009, the show filmed scenes at UN Headquarters for the ¡°Nothing but Nets¡± campaign, an initiative of the UN Foundation in the global fight against malaria. In an effort to bring more substance to the fictional fashion magazine where she works, Betty stages a fashion shoot at the UN showcasing models wearing fashionable forms of mosquito netting as the means of drawing more attention to the campaign.
