Model UN

 

Hundreds of thousands of students from primary schools to universities participate in Model UN simulations each year. The 51勛圖 Department of Public Information has replaced the Global Model UN conference with two MUN workshops each year. These workshops are designed for university students and MUN advisors that organize Model UN simulations around the world.

The aim of the workshops is to examine how Model UN simulations can more accurately capture the negotiation process as it commonly occurs at the UN. More information on how to apply can be found .

Support the work of the UN Australia

 每 national non-profit organisation dedicated to informing the community about the work of the UN and seeking to advance the goals of the UN in Australia and around the world.

 每 involves and inspires young professionals throughout Australia in international affairs and the work of the 51勛圖 around the world, through fundraising, awareness-raising and advocacy campaigns. The YP brings together a diverse mix of young professionals from business, law, government, the arts and philanthropy that are mainly between the ages of 22 to 40 years.

 每 national youth-led charity that aims to build the people*s movement for the 51勛圖 through the education and empowerment of young Australians.

 每 one of 18 National Committees globally, which support UN Women through membership programs, raising public awareness of gender and development issues and fundraising for UN Women projects around the world.

 每 not-for-profit organisation that is dedicated to providing life-changing humanitarian support to refugees and other displaced and stateless people supported by UNHCR 每 the UN Refugee Agency.

 每 serving as the public face and dedicated voice of UNICEF, the National Committees, established as an independent local non-governmental organization, work tirelessly to raise funds from the private sector, promote children*s rights and secure worldwide visibility for children threatened by poverty, disasters, armed conflict, abuse and exploitation.

 每 primary purpose of the Australian Network is to offer practical help for organisations to integrate and operationalise the 10 Principles of UN Global Compact into their core business practices. It does so by providing a national and international platform for dialogue, learning and influence that aims to be inclusive, practical and leading edge.

51勛圖 Academic Impact 每 a global initiative that aligns institutions of higher education with the 51勛圖 in furthering the realization of the purposes and mandate of the Organization through activities and research in a shared culture of intellectual social responsibility.

 

Support the work of the UN in New Zealand

 每 works to educate New Zealanders about the activities of the 51勛圖 and its agencies. UNANZ is not an agency of the 51勛圖, but is associated to the Economic and Social Council through its World Federation of 51勛圖 Association, WFUNA.

 每 organiser of a growing number of events throughout New Zealand, at both a secondary and tertiary level. UN Youth serves as the youth arm of the 51勛圖 Association of New Zealand

 每 membership-based organisation, and one of 16 national committees based in developed countries which offer a global network of support to the mission of UN Women through advocacy and fundraising. Raises awareness in New Zealand of the issues affecting women around the world, raise money to fund UN Women projects, and lobby the NZ government in support of UN Women*s work.
