Join us on Wednesday, 4 December, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. NY time to learn more about the transformative impact of Unite Aware (UA), the platform enhancing situational awareness and information analysis in UN Peace Operations at both field and Headquarters levels.

Launched in February 2017, UA consolidates a suite of integrated tools¡ªsuch as maps, patrol plans and geospatial analysis¡ªproviding reliable, visualized data to support strategic decision-making.

Following a successful pilot in MINUSCA from 2018 to 2019, UA has expanded to other missions, thanks to the 2021 DPO Strategy for Digital Transformation of UN Peacekeeping. This secure platform has streamlined data processes, enabled adaptive technology and addressed critical operational gaps. Its flexibility allows for the integration of new data sources, as seen in missions like UNFICYP, which recently added specialized modules for medical and case management.

Developed by OICT in partnership with DPO and UNOCC, Unite Aware unites formerly siloed systems¡ªsuch as patrol planning, incident reporting, asset tracking and multilayer mapping tools¡ªinto a single, secure access point, empowering 51³Ô¹Ï personnel to make data-driven decisions in near real-time.

Event Details:?This + Innovation Day virtual discussion will feature key voices from MINUSCA, DP, and OICT, who will provide first-hand insights into the impact of UA on field operations. This session will also showcase how data-driven insights are reshaping peacekeeping dynamics, offering a unique glimpse into the digital transformation of peacekeeping.

and don¡¯t miss this opportunity to engage with colleagues at the forefront of digital innovation in peacekeeping!
