- What has changed in the development landscape since 2015 that demands changes in how we approach the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)?  What lessons have we learned from the implementation of the 2030 Agenda so far? And what is needed from the international community to accelerate progress to 2030 and beyond, taking into account the current context and lessons learned?

Members of the Committee for Development Policy (CDP) will share their perspectives on these questions at its annual open session, on 26 February 2025, 3pm, which will take place in the context of the CDP¡¯s 27th Plenary session, to be held in New York from 24 to 28 February 2025.

Through its work from 2025 to 2027, the Committee will inform the  under the auspices of the General Assembly in September 2027, on how we will advance towards sustainable development by 2030 and beyond, in line with the Pact for the Future

During this 27th Plenary meeting, the Committee will also explore how the context for development and development policy has changed, and what pathways are open to countries in that context. They will address issues related to the least developed country (LDC) category, including monitoring the graduating and recently graduated countries.
