Making food systems equitable: An African dialogue on gender and food systems
This dialogue is one in a series of regional dialogues to discuss how we can achieve the triple goal of gender equality, sustainable and healthy food systems. It will bring together scientists, farmers and farmer organizations, policy makers, consumers, private sector and others to discuss and share solutions. Action Track 4 Private Sector Consultation
Action Track 4 is concentrating on the livelihoods at the various points within food systems - from the small-scale farmer to the retailer - and how we advance equity throughout. Committee on World Food Security (CFS47)

Food Thinkers: Food Systems Summit and achieving the SDGs

Fifth Global Meeting of the Indigenous Peoples' Forum at IFAD
The Forum will focus on the value of indigenous food systems: resilience in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic; and is a platform for meaningful dialogue where Indigenous Peoples representatives convey their concerns, requests and recommendations to improve the partnership with IFAD and the effectiveness of its engagement with Indigenous Peoples. The Davos Agenda - Transforming Food Systems and Land Use
Agriculture remains a major driver of water use, climate change and nature loss. Joint Ministerial Meeting of the UN Food Systems Summit & the UN High-Level Dialogue on Energy
This Ministerial Meeting in support of the UN Food Systems Summit and the summit-level UN High-Level Dialogue on Energy preparatory processes will take place in partnership with the International Renewable Energy Agency and the United Arab Emirates as part of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week and the IRENA Assembly. The meeting is intended to raise awareness of the Summits and identify potential outcomes such as initiatives, targets, policies, and other concrete deliverables with simultaneous food, energy, and climate benefits that can be considered for both Summits, as well as COP26. WHO Informal Member State Briefing
It is important that both the Permanent Missions in Rome and Geneva can contribute from the onset to the UN Food Systems Summit process to ensure that the health perspective is taken into account and mainstreamed throughout the discussions and proposed solutions for food systems transformation. Therefore, an informal one-hour briefing is being organised for Member States representatives, and will provide an opportunity for asking questions to the different speakers who each have a role in the Summit.
