Exploring Public-Private Interfaces
The CSO FfD Group, in collaboration with the Financing for Development Office has initiated a workstream with a view to exploring and critically assessing the evolving nature and forms of public and private sector interaction in the context of the Financing for Development process, as well as the broader Sustainable Development Agenda. The project will highlight the importance of moving beyond narrow analyses focused on selected forms of partnerships to discuss the developmental impact of regulatory, legal and institutional incentives, benefits and concessions as forms of interfaces between the public and private sectors for the benefit of developing countries.
This workstream was conceived at a consultation with the Civil Society on engagement in the FfD follow-up process (New York, 3-4 August 2016) and its terms of reference were elaborated during a small expert group meeting (New York, 10-11 October 2016) with selected representatives of the CSO FfD Group.
