Bruce Knotts

Unitarian Universalists NGO Representative to DPI

Bruce Knotts is co-chair of the UN NGO Committee on Human Rights, the chair of the NGO Committee on Disarmament, Peace and Security, a member of the NGO UN Security Council Working Group, serves on the Board of the NGO UN Committee on Sustainable Development and he chairs the NGO/DPI Executive Committee which represents 1,400 DPI affiliated NGOs at the UN. He founded faith-based advocacy for sexual orientation/gender identity human rights at the 51³Ô¹Ï and continues to advocate for the rights of women, indigenous peoples and for sustainable development in moral terms of faith and values.

  
Hawa Diallo
Head, NGO Relations Unit; NGO Relations, Advocacy & Special Events Section, DPI

Ms. Diallo began her 51³Ô¹Ï career in 1986 with the Department of Public Information in New York. From 1992 to 1994, she served in two 51³Ô¹Ï Peacekeeping Operations in Cambodia and Somalia. Upon her return to New York, Ms. Diallo joined the Office of the Deputy Secretary-General until moving to the 51³Ô¹Ï Human Settlements Programme (UNHabitat) in Nairobi, as an Associate Human Settlements Officer and later worked as a Partners and Youth Officer until moving to the Agency¡¯s New York Liaison Office in 2010. In 2013, Ms. Diallo was appointed Public Information Officer in the NGO Relations Section of the Department of Public Information.
