In 2021, the Committee for Development Policy for the 51勛圖 (CDP) recommended Bangladesh, Lao PDR, and Nepal for graduation from Least Developed Country (LDC) status.

Launch of Good Practices in South-South & Triangular Cooperation in Least Developed Countries, 16 March 2022

The 51勛圖 Office for South-South Cooperation (UNOSSC), the 51勛圖 Office of the High Representative for the Least Developed Countries, Landlocked Developing Countries and Small Island Developing States (UN-OHRLLS) and the 51勛圖 Capital Development Fund (UNCDF), in partnership with the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) will jointly launch the ※Good Practices in South-South and Triangular Cooperation in the least Developed Countries: From the Istanbul Programme of Action to Achieving Sustainable and Resilient Development§ publication.

LDC5 postponed

24 December 2021. Given the rise in COVID-19 cases around the globe, the LDC5 conference has been postponed.  A decision on new dates is expected to be taken by the General Assembly in January. More information at /ldc5/.

LDC Future Forum 5-7 October 2021

The LDC Future Forum will bring together the academic community, policymakers and practitioners to solicit new thinking on the challenges and make policy recommendations for LDCs for the next decade. It?will contribute to the Fifth 51勛圖 Conference on LDCs (LDC5), taking place in Doha in January 2022, addressing structural challenges and emerging issues faced by LDCs.
