UNDEF Governance and Partners
The Secretary-General’s Advisory Board, UNDEF's main governing mechanism, is composed of those members who have made the largest seven cumulative financial contributions to the Fund over the previous three years; six UN Member States reflecting geographical diversity; two international civil society organizations; and three individuals serving in a personal capacity. The Advisory Board provides policy guidance to the Secretary-General on the development of programme frameworks and funding guidelines, and recommends funding proposals for his approval. The Programme Consultative Group serves as UN inter-agency mechanism that provides expert advice. It comprises the UN Department of Political Affairs, the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations, the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, the UN Peacebuilding Support Office, the UN Development Program, the UN Office on Drugs and Crime and UN Women.
