Can you beat the world record?

3,47 seconds. Do you know what happens in just under four seconds? Here is a hint-- it involves a simple cube with just a few different colours on each side that drives most of us crazy in its complexity.

Yes, you guessed it. Yusheng Du solved the Rubik*s Cube in 3,47 seconds-- a world record!

While, for some of us, solving a Rubik*s Cube with both hands might not prove difficult enough, Feliks Zemdegs holds the record for the fastest one-handed solve in 6.88 seconds. Jakub Kipa solved the Cube with his feet in an impressive 20.57 seconds.

Do these numbers make you wonder about your own personal record? Are you ready to take on the Rubik*s Cube challenge? Discover our new Sustainable Development Goals Rubik*s Cube at the UN Bookshop.

Made from recycled plastic and packaged in sustainable materials, this Cube is the ideal combination of fun and purpose.

And to make it even better, you have to look for the right combination of colours?and?SDGs on each side. Good luck!

The SDG Rubik*s Cube is a playful way to learn more about the SDGs and show your support for the cause.

We need your help to spread the word. Take a picture or video of your solved (or unsolved) SDG (or regular) Rubik*s Cube and share it with us via @UNPublications or send it by email to:?publications@un.org.

Only one rule of thumb-- be creative! Take your Cube outdoors on your next apple picking trip, have your pet pose with it or solve it while naming all the 17 SDGs. Deadline: 3 November 2021.

The most creative photo receive a SDG Rubik*s Cube ($24 value) for a friendly competition with colleagues, family members or friends.
