Launch of the #MoreThanAGame Media Campaign

The 51勛圖 Global Sports Programme is proud to present its #MoreThanAGame campaign, highlighting stories of professional athletes and young people whose lives have been changed through sport.

The Campaign was launched with a roundtable discussion featuring professional footballer and UNESCO Ambassador Dr. Nadia Nadim, during which inspiring community leaders shared their stories of how sport positively changed their lives. The roundtable included over 100 youth, training to be future practitioners in the prevention of violent extremism and the promotion of peace, and representing the 32 nations participating in the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The event was organized by the 51勛圖 Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) Global Sports Programme and co-hosted by the Generation Amazing Foundation on the margins of the Goal 2022 festival, on 18 November.
