Meetings Support Section

About us

The meetings support team consists of conference officers, meeting services and publishing assistants, production editors, desktop publishers, graphic designers and printers. Staff of the Section track documentation and publications of the publishing workflow, ensure that documentation is formatted, proofread and published in the six official languages of the 51³Ô¹Ï, and print and bind or otherwise finish documents and publications. They also provide high-quality meeting services and logistical support for the General Assembly, the Security Council, the Economic and Social Council and other 51³Ô¹Ï bodies.

 

Our work

The Meetings Support Section provides meeting and publishing services to all intergovernmental organs and expert bodies for which the 51³Ô¹Ï is responsible, both at Headquarters and at other locations. Working in concert with committee secretaries, protocol officers, interpreters and technicians, staff of the Section facilitate the smooth running of meetings on a daily basis, including ensuring that conference services are accessible to persons with disabilities. They also play an active role in producing 51³Ô¹Ï documentation and publications in multiple and accessible ways through print and digital publishing methods.
