Launch of CTED¡¯s Analytical Brief on ¡®Establishing effective public-private partnerships on countering the financing of terrorism'

A launch event will be held on Thursday, 8 February 2024, from 10:00am to 12:30pm (EST) to mark the publication of UN CTED¡¯s latest Analytical Brief on ¡®Establishing effective public-private partnerships on countering the financing of terrorism¡¯.

The launch event will gather experts to discuss various perspectives, including from national authorities, research and academia, the private sector, and civil society, on how to encourage more effective and responsible public-private partnerships (PPPs) within the specific context of countering the financing of terrorism (CFT).

Participants will highlight the mutual benefits of such partnerships, emphasizing the leveraging of unique?strengths, resources, and expertise from each sector, while also reflecting on known and potential pitfalls to avoid. They will also emphasize why a comprehensive and inclusive approach is key to developing successful PPPs and offer their thoughts and experiences on which stakeholders should be included. By bringing together diverse stakeholders and experts, CTED aims to foster a more?sustainable, inclusive, and innovative approach to PPPs in the area of countering the financing of terrorism.

The discussion will be held in hybrid format, with an in-person meeting?at the Permanent Mission of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the UN, located at 666 3rd Ave (between 42nd & 43rd street), 19th floor, New York, NY 10017?and virtually via Microsoft Teams.
